A new hope for Ferrari watches?

Let me start this off by stating that I love Ferrari. As the maker of such innovative cars as the F430 and Enzo, the prancing horse mounted in the front of their vehicles is a symbol for pride, luxury, and success, among many things. Aside from their great success in the luxury automotive industry, they have had great success in merchandising. Red Puma sneakers with the Ferrari logo, Ferrari Forumla 1 jerseys, Ferrari T-Shirts; the list goes on and on. Somehow that success has not translated to watches.

First Girard-Perregaux, then Panerai, and now Hublot. Ferrari GP's and Ferrari Panerai's can be found at ridiculously steep discounts and were some of the worst sellers at that price point while in production.  Difference here is that the agreement between Hublot and Ferrari is not only related to merchandising solely as stated here. But on the watch end of the business, I wish both Ferrari and Hublot much success in their new joint venture!
