How time flies! I remember the 2011 shows as if they were yesterday. Between these two shows, almost every prominent Swiss watch company displays their new product for the upcoming year, as well as prototypes, for future distribution. The SIHH is scheduled to be held in Geneva from January 16-20, and is an event strictly limited to industry professionals. BaselWorld is open to the public and is the largest show of its kind in the world (with over 100,000 visitors in 2011), will be held in Basel, Switzerland, from March 8-15.
The SIHH features 19 watch brands, consisting of mostly Richemont brands such as IWC, Vacheron Constantin, Jaeger LeCoultre, but also consisting of powerhouse independents such as Audemars Piguet and Girard-Perregaux.
Previews of new watches have started to make their way to online watch blogs.
BaselWorld features over 2,000 Jewelry and Watch brands including Patek Philippe, TAG Heuer, Corum, Harry Winston, Hublot, Breguet, Rolex - the list goes on and on.
BaselWorld
No previews on anything from BaselWorld just yet, but TAG Heuer had some excellent new items introduced to the public last year, such as the TAG Heuer McLaren MP4-12C watch.

Looking forward to seeing what great new items come out of these two shows this year!
